my KS whitetail deer camp week

I know this thread is worthless without pictures and I will post some up as soon as I can. I was able to shoot a 165-170 class Boone and Crockett buck in Kansas last week. I was told this is the best deer from our camp in 24 years. A nice ten point ( 11 if you count the drop tine on the right antler) lol . absolutely unblemished and perfect head which is at the taxidermist now. yee haw. He was killed with a Tikka T3 rifle .270 caliber with a 130 gr. ballistic sivertip bullet. shot though the lungs at 150 yards...and he still ran 75 yards up a hill to the woods! What a magnificent animal and he will have a place of honor on my wall for my lifetime. this was a once in a lifetime deer. there were 11 guys at our camp.. there were ten nice bucks and one doe killed. not bad. we had commradery and good times in the woods. lots of drinking and joking around the fires at night and ate like kings. the whole week.

the funny part was that all my boys were taking poics of me and the deer and several made it to the local tavern wall. I was treated like a rock star...lol many of the locals came out to our camp to see "the deer" . I still can't believe it .
