Hell I made the mistake of riding a new Goldwing, and all I can say is DAYM! Its effortless to ride, and power that I have only experienced riding sportbikes. I rode a buddies Hayabusa and that is so friggin crazy that I don't think I could keep it at normal speeds very long haha. You shift out of 1st at 85 if you wind it up! The import transmissions are really smooth and positive. I would warn you guys, don't ride any of the imports if you like what you have!! After this damn cartoon Its making me like my Harley a lot less. Especially when people call me a fag when I ride it. I love to ride its all about riding. |

Gotta go with Speed on this one - German and Italian engineering is the best of the best that I've ever seen. Sit on a Ducati and tell me a GSXR is better made, and German cars can only be compared to other German cars

The only domestic I will buy is Ford. They are doin pretty damn good. Their cars are pretty damn nice. That new Raptor F150, Mustang, SHO, are nice rides. As far as bikes go, the difference I can see from the Italians and Germans to Jap stuff is they put the best of the best components. Where as the Japs make a more affordable version that will stomp the Germans and Italians in speed and power. I have rode the Hayabusa, and the Ducati 1098. The Hayabusa is something to behold. Its amazingly smooth and precise to ride. It is so refined that one has to wonder how they can make that and it be so inexpensive? Brakes are incredible handling is nimble for such a big sportbike. I am a cruiser guy. After checkin out bikes like the Triumph Rocket and Yamahas line up, I keep wondering why I stay Harley. After all Harley has a lot of import parts on it. My biggest bitch I guess is I wish I had about 50 more horse after riding the imports. Like I said, don't ride them if you like what you have, you will be questioning why Harley keeps going the direction they go with these tired technology engines. |

I understand the whole tradition thing with Harley. I think what would be cool is if Harley kept the cruisers they have now for the guys that like the old school style, and make a line of power cruisers to compete with whats out there.
As far as sportbikes, well they had it licked with the new Buell using the Rotax engine. It was finally an engine to be had. No vibration and it actually has power. Then what does Mother Harley do? Dumps Buell. WTF? Its almost like Harley wants to be associated with slow. I don't know about you guys but I am tired of bein passed and tired of kids callin me Fag now with South Park making a show against us. I had a damn Mini van pass me two weeks ago and I couldn't catch it?? This should not happen guys!! Pickups, minivans, you name it can out run us! I shouldn't have to spent thousands to make my engine keep up with a damn Gold wing for Gods sake! They flat out kick our ass. |

What has always frosted my ass is that American riders have to ride imports to race the motorcycle circuit. This is rediculous. I ask myself why I support a company that doesn't produce one single race bike, and don't confuse that with the Vrod. NHRA conviently has rules governing Vtwins so they only can race against inlines of half the CC's. What is that, it is telling the world our Vtwins suck.
Aren't you guys seein any of this stuff? Doesn't this stuff bother you? It bothers me. We are the greatest Nation in the world, we are America and we can't produce bike to compete with the rest of the world? |

I may not like what the HD corporate guys do and how they have run out the smaller dealerships, and yes there is alot of jap stuff on the bike. But the profits stay here , keep our guys employed. Our economy is in the pits because we buy to much from overseas and do not manufacture enough here. So if ur gonna look elsewhere at least get a North American built bike. While we are at it buy North American trucks n Cars.... L8R RR

Suzuki Atvs are made in Rome Georgia. Yamaha makes some stuff here too. All those plants employ Americans. Basically any brand employs people here in the states, from their parts warehouses, to the dealerships that sell and service them. All are helping our economy. Why I am really getting disgusted with Harley is because they outsource so much of the bike that they wouldn't have to, and especially their trade mark clothing its all CHINA !!! For what it costs to buy the stuff their is absolutely NO reason it has to be outsourced. We should boycott anything they outsource. No reason for it when the price is so high. We are sheep for falling for all of this. I feel used and takin advantage of. If I can buy a bike for half the price that has more to offer in every aspect, then why the hell am I buying Harley? To have little kids flip me off and call me a FAG?? Help me out here guys I am on my last string with Harley. |
