Default Need opinion on brands of parts.

Getting ready to install a new set of rings and top end gaskets in a 73 XLH Sportster. Need recommendations and watchouts on brand of rings and gaskets that you guys have used.
Thanks,
Hogt

Cometic gaskets and the OEM rings would be my recommendation.

If you have excessive piston slap a new set of over sized slugs might be worth considering too.

'73 XLH?

That's not the one you showed me. What happened to it? Please tell me you didn't sell it!

Thanks guys, The difference in parts prices aren't enough to worry about. I just want to put the best quality parts back in it while I have it down.

Not sure about piston slap, bike belongs to a friend of mine and hasn't been ridden in 10 yrs. I'll know more about piston clearence when I tear it down.

NO... Mungo, don't worry, I still have the three bikes that you looked at. I can't see me getting rid of any of them...lol  I'm just playing mechanic for a friend.
Thanks again for the tips.....
