Bushtec trailer parts

I'm thinking of buying a used (1990) Bushtec trailer.
I found out Bushtec no longer provides replacement shocks prior to 1994 models.
The price is OK but I don't want something I can't easily repair if necessary.
Does anyone know if something else fits without modifications?
If so, where can I purchase?
