Oil consumption

Weve all heard what The Motor Co quotes as acceptable oil consumption,that aside, Im curious to know what rate of usage others experience.Some say mine never uses a drop between changes,(maybe they change more frequently)others report their bike uses some.Ive had two new Softails,1 run in hard,the 2nd run in by the book,both had moderate oil usage Current FXSTI has 7000km on clock estimate consumption at 750mls per 3500kms - anyone care to share their experiences in this regard and what you consider normal consumption ?.Of course I am familiar with correct method of checking
