gerbing/sportsters - any alternative?

well my hands are finally warm and happy! son got us both gerbing gloves for christmas (gotta love that guy!) we loved 'em so much we immediately started tossing around the idea of getting the heated vest liners... then i found out they only recommend one plug in at a time for sportsters due to draining the charge (ie: gloves or vest liner but not both at the same time).

are there no alternatives? no special little plug? no heavy duty ass battery? anything? if i have to pick, i'll keep the gloves on and pass on the vest, but both would be very nice
anyone have any suggestions (besides buy a bigger bike? lol)

check with kagan and see if there is a heavy duty altenator for sportsters out there that can supply the extra wattage you need while wearing the gloves and vest. how much power does the gloves and vest both need?

thanks for the suggestion mlc. i need to pull my paperwork out to see how much power, i'll probably make a couple calls this weekend (cause it's raining lol) to see what i can find out.

Trad knows a trick where you ride to the dealer on a Sporty and home on a Road King.

MLC will come ride the cold Sporty home for you.

That is an actual reenactment and the names were kept the same to protect the innocent.
