If they are the black stock ones, the best thing to do is buy a six-pack and invite me over.

Sorry...

Stock grips are held on by a lip that goes under the switch housing. The right one (throttle) is loose and slides around (obviously), the left one has a bit of glue on it.

Left:
Remove the switch housing and take a razor box cutter to the left one. Then remove the grip glue with some adhesive remover. I'd get yelled at if I told what I use. The new one, HD brand grips will have a lip, most after market ones will not and will be held on with just glue.

RIght:
Remove swltich housing and brake housing. Be very careful with the brake housing. There is a switch that the lever activates (for your lights) that can brake very easy. Also, you'll need a mechanics pick to help you with the brass ferrules in the grips holding the throttle cables in place.

Replace the throttle cables in the new grips and slid the grips under the switch housing and replace.

Of course, I've over simplified. Much harder in person. On a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 requires a mechanic, I'd say these were a 2 just because of the patience involved with the throttle side.

Make certain you cannot twist the left grip my hand BEFORE you ride off. It is no fun to grab hold of the bar and have the grip come off in your hand. (been there done that)

One more little tip. Be careful with the ferrels. They are like Mexican Jumpin Beans and want to jump to the floor and bounce away if you drop them
