Default 2007 Tranny Noise

This Isolated Drive System Sprocket Kit is reported to alleviate the 5th gear clatter on 2007 touring bikes.

Has anybody tried this yet?

They had said using the Redline heavyweight oil like they use in the Baker helped a lot with the noise.

That looks like trouble getting ready to happen.. The rubber is going to crack, then start to shake when it starts to shed pieces. Have seen those kind of things through the years in other mechanical stuff and they always cause trouble sooner or later. Give me direct transmission of power any day, damn a small amount of vibration.

It's stock on all the 08s. That kit is just a retrofit for the 07 touring bikes. I can't say that I disagree with you.

Lipstick on a pig eh? If they had of cut the gears right in the first place they wouldn't have to slap a fix on it like this.

A-fawking men.... Trashy to say the least. Burt Baker has a fix for it with a kit he has out. His fix is the way to go in my opinion..... I have read Donny Peterson's articles on this and he agrees too....
