Default Metzler ME880's

i couldnt pass up the price, 90/90-21 front and 130/90-16 rear to my door for $178. the dealer here wanted $280 for dunslops so i decided to try the metzlers. i got them mounted this morning and i have a 200 mile ride planned for tomorrow so i should have an idea real soon as how they compare. i know everybody here rants how wonderful the avon's are but sometimes it does come down to economics.

That's a heck of a deal MLC. I rode Metzelers for years until I had a sidewall blow on one with 500 miles on it and they didn't come good for it. I definitely prefer Avons now, but Metzelers worked well for me for many miles and they are leaps and bounds better than the stock Dunlops.

i didnt get a new scoot hells, i just got new tires. i scrubbed of the newness on a 210 mile trip day and have to say that i like the metzlers over the dunlops so far. i havent had a emergency brake or swerve with them but they were tenfold better than the dunlops on grooved pavement and tar strips on the highway. no wobbles at all.

I rode the fuck out of my Metzlers 880's for three years (no - not just one set of Metzlers... ) I rode the twisties pretty hard too. I like 'em a lot, but have just recently gone over to Avons based upon the numerous recommendations on this and other sites. Metzlers are A-OK in my book.
