hext handle bar issue

so I'm putting on a new set of handle bars to see if I like 'em and they have internal wiring. I've already removed the Deutsch pin connectors and run the wires through the bars, but ...

am I missing something here?

I have handlebar mount turn signals and their wires prevent the switch housings from mating up with the lever clamps.

Do I have to run my turn signal wires outside of the bars? If so, whats the point of internal wiring?!?!?!
