that was including the tires. i thought i'd try some metzlers this time around. they want $110 for the front, $140 for the rear and i'm assuming there are a couple tubes and liners in there too. i think he said it was $80 each just for the mounting and balance.

I was a Metzeler fan for years until the last set I had went bad. The rear sidewall was so soft you could poke your finger through it and the tire only had 500 miles on it. I had a wicked speed wobble that was the result of the bad tire hence it being pulled off with so few miles on it.
I went back to Avon, which I hadn't used in years and they are way better now than they were in the early 90s. I'm pretty sure Ram just picked up front and rear Avons for just over a hundred bucks each. SM |

i've considered the venom x but i've been warned that i'll probable only get half the milage out of them. thats why i wanted to go metzler this time around and compare the the milage and handling. i may end up ordedring tires and finding a indy here that can mount them up cheaper until i figure out if i can swing a machine for myself. what little looking i've done so far is $500 and up for a complete set up.

Hell, I got 10,000 out of my original rear Dunlop, even with my fatass on it  I have always run Metzeler's, I Love them, and until I get a bad one, I'll keep running them. |
