Default Progressive 440 Shocks

Wow. What an upgrade over stock. I put a set of these shocks on yesterday and laid down 150 miles after the upgrade and my bike handles like it's on rails now. If I had any idea how dramatic the improvement was in handling and ride quality I would have bit the bullet years ago and spent the money on these shocks then.

There is a rotten ass pot hole north of Tweed on highway 37 that gets me every time I return from Cam's and sure as shit it got me again yesterday after the shock upgrade. Normally my bike would bottom out and I would feel the shock in my lower back, but with the Progressive shocks all I felt was a little bump. Cool stuff.

I have also had problems with my bike shooting in one direction, or the other when I stabbed the throttle that I was convinced was the crappy stock air shocks collapsing under heavy load. Keep in mind my bike has double the amount of HP that a stock TC88 does, so it's a lot more violent when you get on the hammer than a normal bike. With the Progressive shocks my bike tracks as straight as an arrow now even at excessive speeds. Just ask the cop I blew by at X mph in a 50 zone yesterday. He flashed his lights, but didn't even bother to pursue.

You can find more on Progressive shocks here.

when I built my red hot rod bike I used an untra classic frame. I used the WB rear shock lowering/relocation kit AND the 11" progressive shocks. The rear is slammed. I went with heavier springs in a mostly stock road king front end. I love the handling. I have to admit that the ride is a little rougher, but it has been worth it. I did notice that the back tire will grab now instead of just spinning...this translates to more WHEELIES

I dunno man, I sure do like using a pump to guesstimate the pressure. [Sarcasm meter should be reading a 10]

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be ordering a set tomorrow. Air assist. BAH!

Out of all the mods to all the bikes I have owned over the years these shocks were the best upgrade dollar for dollar that I have ever done. Like Doc said it's like riding on a perfectly smooth service all the time. Knowing what PA roads are like they would be a great upgrade for your RK Kagan.

A huge increase in handling. I would have never expected such a dramatic difference.

You're welcome to try my bike when you get here in June to see for yourself.
