OK, so recent mods to my bikes have left me without a place to put our dreaded NC inspection sticker.
I had the Night Train mounted in the frame under the neck, just in front of the front cylinder. But with the oil cooler there, I want to move it. The Ultra, the sticker was just wrapped around the frame. I did not like that, so it's gone. Where do you guys have your mounted? If applicable? Is there a down side to taking them off? |

In Tejas, it is generally mounted on a sheet metal panel right by the license plate, It's ugly but it works, I have seen it mounted right on the tailight lense, partially covering the clear panel that illuminates the license plate. I would think that unless the state designates a specific location, any conspicuous place would be fine.

I don't mount one. I tell the cops to go fuck themselves and read it on the bottom of my boot.
We don't have em up North here. When I go skiing I put the ticket on my boot so the ticket scanning girls have to bend over to scan my ticket. I crack myself up. |

Mungo can't you make a plate for it to bolt to underneath the crash bar bolt?
When I was in NC they stuck it on my front fork one time when I was inside paying for it, needless to say it looked terrible. They are a pain to remove though! Heat gun or rag with wd-40 works good to remove.

Only had my bike inspected after some small town cop with too much to do noticed mine had expired - three years before!
Anyway, I mount mine on the back of the license plate. Legally it's there - that's all that matters. |
