Default finished my exhaust

after numerous attempts, I finally built a set of pipes I like. Maybe it is best we do not discuss how many times I cut up what I had built and started over. I wanted something no one else had.....since no manufacturer, that I know of, makes upswept or midrise pipes for anything with a rubber mounted engine, I had to design and build my own mounts as well

the problem with upswept pipes, is that they vibrate horizontally on a rubber mounted bike. Tha bracket/ mount has to attach to the bottom of the transmission. it has to be bent around the swingarm mount, and is so long it cannot stop vibration.....I found a heim joint worked well. I originally used an old aluminum clamp on foot peg mount to attach it to the frame...It worked well, but I wanted it to be a little stouter. So, I went back and welded a peg mount to the frame (luckily I had a little frame paint left over from another project)...I adjusted it just tight enough that there was a small amount of tension pushing the pipe mount away from the frame, and snugged the jam nuts (I wanted just enough tension to take the slack out of the heim joint )....
I don't know yet, if I will need to make brackets, to tie the pipes together, before they flare for the mufflers....I will let you all know as I get more miles on them, and find out for sure

Looks Great! I see you don't like shoes/boots melted to your pipes
How do they sound
