Default 80 EVO idles too fast

My 99 Fatboy just got back from the shop after getting the carb rejetted. Now it idles too fast and I am unsure how to adjust it. I took off the outside part of the air cleaner and had a look, then attempted to take off the rest of the air cleaner and it was bolted to the heads so tight I decided to stop and ask "whats up with that"? Thank you in advance for any info.

It may just be that your throttle is out of adjustment. You could try to adjust that just to make sure before you adjust any idle screws.

If it is a stock cv carb. that came on the bike the idle adjust (facing the air cleaner) is on the right hand side of the carb towards the top by the black plastic top ... It will be gold or bronze in color... turn screw counter clockwise to lower rpm... Adjust the carb at operating temperature not cold...
