A Canadian soldier was killed in Afghanistan Saturday as he participated in a major operation to locate bomb-making factories in Taliban territory.

Such a sad, sad loss. The article struck a cord with me when I read they were based out of Petawawa. That's where we camped the first year we went to Canada to see Speed and family.
My heart goes out to the family of this fallen soldier and his fellow soldiers who were also injured. No doubt they will have more than physical injuries to recover from after this. It's heartbreaking.
