Three Canadian soldiers were killed and five wounded during an attack on their armoured vehicle in the Zhari district of Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Wednesday morning, the military confirmed.
Cpl. Andrew Grenon, Cpl. Mike Seggie and Pte. Chad Horn were killed. All were members of the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry battle group, based in Shilo, Man. "Andrew, Mike and Chad gave their all in support of the mission," Brig.-Gen. Denis Thompson told reporters in Kandahar. "We will honour their memory by remaining steadfast in our efforts to help the people of Afghanistan." "The brave soldiers killed today were coming to the end of their tour," he added. "It saddens me to think of their loved ones, who were expecting them to return home later this month." Click here to read the rest of the story. SM |

Rest in Peace soldiers.
It is just so sad. In their photo's they just look so young. It is heartbreaking. I hate those towel headed bastids.
