Blast kills Canadian soldier in Afghanistan
A Canadian soldier on foot patrol in southern Afghanistan was killed Sunday by an explosive device, military officials said.
The soldier, whose name is being withheld at the family's request, was airlifted to the military hospital at Kandahar air field where he died of his wounds shortly after the incident occurred at 8:20 p.m. local time, Brig.-Gen. Guy Laroche told reporters. Click here for the rest of the story. SM

Another fallen comrade, I will be at the repatriation ceremony in Trenton, Ontario at 2pm Wednesday March 19. Gone but not forgotten!! RIP

RIP, prayers to his family. We have some friends in Canada and their son just deployed a couple of months ago to Afghanistan. I pray this was not their son.
