Bush, Rice thank Canada for 'pulling its weight' in Afghanistan
U.S. President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice praised Canada on Thursday for its military's contributions to the Afghan mission. Rice called Canada an "extraordinary partner" in the NATO-led war in Afghanistan. While there has been concern about some NATO countries not taking on their fair share of responsibilities in Afghanistan, Rice said this is not the case with Canada. "Canada is sharing in that responsibility. Canada is pulling its weight," the secretary of state said in Washington, D.C. "The contribution of Canada is both invaluable and effective." Thanks all for your Kind words, I am proud to be Canadian and a Vet too. I think that its about time some politicians realize that we are pulling our weight in the NATO and UN in different country. Every time we are going overseas to any kind of missions, only the bad stuffs that we are doing is coming up on the surface, not the good one that we did...
Thanks again for your support, it really touch my heart hearing those nice kind words tonight... Reg |
