Four of the dead are identified as:
* Capt. Matthew Johnathan Dawe * Cpl. Cole Bartsch * Pte. Lane Watkins * Master Cpl. Colin Bason Dawe, Bartsch and Watkins are all from the Edmonton-based 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. Bason was with the Royal Westminster Regiment based in New Westminster, B.C. Two of the soldiers have not been publicly identified because the military is still working to notify next of kin. SM
