Long weekend 5 HDs taking off for Grand Bend & Sauble Beach
Well just north of Grand Bend we get pulled over. 3 cop cruisers for 5 of us doing the speed limit . Ends up cop gets his tape measure out en I get a ticket cause I was 50 mm over the limit of 36 mm what ever that comes too .............
Oh well paid the ticket , but learned something next time I get pulle dover I will not get back on the bike so they can measure.

I have a buddy who leaves his just loose enough that when he gets pulled over he can jerk them down enough to avoid a ticket before the cop gets out of the car. Food for thought.

Had a buddy that used to do the same, until he needed them.. He takes the ticket now..

Hey RR how do they measure the 50mm? Is that above your shoulders? If so does he use a level to accurately verify he is on the same plane to measure? Has he had his tape measure calibrated :lol:

They get the good ole tape measure out an eyeball from seat to the bars....
I was not goin to push the fact as I had some good shit with me no need to get busted for something else.
According to the OPP handlebar height is 38 mm from seat to bars


funny though the second time we get pulled over was near the cottage we were stayin at ........So I am leadin again and guess what 2 cruisers lights flashing I just kept goin to the cottage...... fuck was that cop ever pissed as why I did not pull over when lights were flashing ....... I played dumb and said I never noticed em should have used the siren. fuck if it was me they wanted you got me now ..... give him all the info start shootin the shit with the other cop as where to eat an drink he was not bad.
So with the guys I ride with we have a new rule Last bike pulls over the rest of us will keep goin see what happens with that next time we get pulled (jacked up) over......
funny thing is only asshole cops that have ever pulled me over are all under 40 , seems the older cops realize its just a job ......

Cop reply's "yes ""

So I quickly replied " gotcha I work 6;30 -4:00 and show him my buisness card"
cop tells me not to do that again
I so far have taken his advice
