Default Prototype Brake lever for Softails

Got tired of the stock bracket and am too cheap to donate to the stealership so I fabbed my own. I used the oem fulcrum and bushing as well as the foot pedal. This one is out of 304 stainless and unpolished because that's all I had laying around the right thickness. I will this winter start making the entire bracket out of highly polished 316 stainless steel with bronze bushing, grease Zerk, o-rings seals and offer them for sale. This lever moves the pedal out of the way of the floorboards and allows you to engage the brake without lifting your knee all the way up to the handlebars.

I like it.

Hmm.... what could you conjour up for a FX softtail?

I need something that brings the brake pedal back some, so it feels like my ankle doesn't have to go straight to stop.

Damn BS that is a very good-lookin pedal, nice work! You sure have a lot of talent! I'm sure Squirrel won't mind you tearing his ride down to help Mungo out

No prob, I have a Softail custom in the shop right now to go off of. I can make a template while I'm there and try it out when I get home. Did I mention a serious discount for Hawgzone members.

That pedal looks pretty slick, and I am great fan of field engineering. Be sure to keep us posted, but it looks promising.
