As I mentioned in this post, I have a clear coat issue.
The repair estimate is going to be $300. I've always said if something happened to the paint job, I'd take some rattle can flat black paint and paint it myself. I like that look. Now my question though. Do you think it's worth the $300 to fix? It's a special Harley skin set, that sold new for about $2295. I'm wondering if I'll devalue the bike by taking a spray can to it? Advice? |

I rattled canned mine flat black I am thinking of putting it up for sale to Invest into my Shovel/ Pan project bike.
I will get more money and sell her quicker with a flashy paint job. I would suggest to pick up an extra set of skins & paint her flat black ! just my .02 L8R RR |

Not that I know anything about it, but from a $$ / business perspective, I'd say the $300 is a better decision than the rattlecan, if you are looking for the ( reseale?) value ...

Ok, I have the clear coat issue on my '03 Anniversary model, does any know if that would be covered under the extended warranty. The clear coat is peeling off in sheets. I have made inquiry's and the best price I got to reclear coat it was 3 grand......This pisses me off.....
