If you hear a low-pitched rumble late Friday afternoon, relax – there’s no need to rush upstairs to close the windows.
It’s not a thunderstorm blowing in, it’s Bikes on the Bricks roaring to life.
And if you like motorcycles – or anything related to motorcycles – you’re not going to want to miss it.
Expanded this year from one day to two, the event gets in gear from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday with the Law Enforcement Rodeo Preliminary Competition.
“People love to come and sit on the bleachers and watch these officers as they run through obstacle courses,” said Tanya Lane, events manager for the sponsoring Flint Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It’s a great event for the whole family, and it’s all free. You should see the looks on little boys’ faces when they see those officers riding the big bikes.”
